I’m leaving and was gonna make a final post trying to explain the reasons in depth, but after talking with many, I’ve decided not to waste my breath. My leaving probably won’t change anything, and I’ve already made my opinions known.
Here is a short + concise list of a sample of issues I’ve encountered that have led to this decision.

Some Reasons
  • Woolwars + Kit being abandoned
  • Updates + Advertising promised across WW, Kit, and Sg- and then said updates not taking place
  • Recent changes made to paid rank perks
  • Sg being taken off the network entirely (after a promised update)
  • Generally unfair moderation
  • Forgetting to remove perms from multiple retired staff / other general management issues
  • Not fixing a major bug on purg that removes players’ progress upon disconnect (Unless it’s since been fixed but I do not think it has been.)
  • Promoting gambling (crates)

I think that the amount of good memories + experiences I’ve had on here generally outweighs all of the bad things, but I don’t think that is the case in the present time, otherwise I wouldn’t be leaving so suddenly; I did not plan to leave like this.

Some of the things I listed are my opinions, but a lot of them are facts. I apologize to those of you that I talked to when I was planning on making a longer post. I still thank all of you who talked to me and gave me feedback. I also thank everyone reading this, and the whole community in general! Like I said, I’ve had some super fun times on here, and I’ve met some of my best friends!

If you agree with any of the things on my list, (or things that aren’t on the list) then I encourage you to speak up, or make change in the direction you want the server to go in. I was never staff. I don’t know everything about munchy. But I have been an active player for the last 3 years, and feel that the issues I have noticed should be brought up. To anyone thinking “Why are you quitting instead of trying to change the server then, Vivian?” I’ve done all I can (at least I believe so.) I have contributed on the bug and idea team, made my forum posts, and played the games. I applied to become staff and it didn’t work out which is totally okay. You don’t have to be staff to make a difference. I don’t actually know if I made a difference, but I’m okay if I didn’t.

If things are changed in a significant way then I will consider coming back in the future. I would like to say thank you to all of you, but I’m going to give 5 shoutouts for some of the people that really deeply impacted my time on munchy in a positive way.

I feel the need to put this explicitly that this is NOT an attack on anyone on the munchy management / staff team. I appreciate all the hard work you guys do, and I’m sure you’ll do so much more good for the server.

The server seriously won’t be the same without you Viv. Your cheeriness, helpfulness, honesty, intelligence, and kindness are all things you’ve inspired me to improve on. You shine brighter than you realize and I actually think you’re wrong about something.

It has changed something for me, knowing I won’t be able to log on and see one of my best friends anymore always saddens me. The fact i can’t log on and see you is disappointing but you are your own person, you shouldn’t be forced to play a server you don’t have attachment to.

You’re so kind to me and I am forever thankful, I have so much memories of us and I still adore the way you drew me so much it’s my forum pfp :>!

You are very insightful of your opinions on matters within munchy, I agree with a lot of issues but I won’t delve into them cause this post isn’t about issues.

You touched the lives of so many vivivn, and we all appreciate you so much! You said to me on discord “no one will probably care I’m leaving anyways” but by the time you wake up tomorrow you’ll see just how false you are!

Never forget your friends or the rest of us here at munchy, and always remember how special you are.

i don’t know you well but i understand where you’re coming from. it feels like the server itself is dying and that nothing is being done - besides promoting the sales of overpriced items that most people cannot afford without IRL dealing. but even most of the IRL dealers have moved on from Munchy as they’ve seen the effects that crates has. Especially when some of the “special” items are as basic as “100 claim blocks” - or on Prison, the infamous guard armor :sob: Hopefully one day they will address these things.

What I’m saying

Tbf what server on basically all of Minecraft DOESNT HAVE THIS?? Anyways if you’re talking about prison there are other ways to obtain them, buying from others, looting, etc. it’s not like you HAVE to buy crates to progress they just are some things that are helpful. If you’re talking about survival idk anything about it

Yeah fair point on the crates but tbh there’s so many other ways to ethically monetize servers, and just cause everyone does it doesn’t make it right but I could be wrong haha.

Viv, it honestly saddens me to realize that you will no longer be on MunchyMC. When I log in, there will be no more “wb amy” or any other “wb ign” from you or our silly chats. You were one of the few players who wasn’t afraid to voice their opinions on Munchy, no matter the backlash it might have caused. That’s one of the reasons I have so much respect for you, both as a player and as a person. Writing this message has been genuinely difficult because Munchy has lost an amazing player who brought so much fun and silliness to the game mode. Thank you for making Munchy better while you were here. :heart: Ever since we became friends in 2021, you’ve truly made my MunchyMC experience so much better. I will miss you forever, Viv. If you ever decide to return, I know a lot of players, including myself, will be thrilled to have you back.

I think you already know this, but I’m extremely thankful for the friendship we share and for all the doors you’ve opened for me. If it hadn’t been for you and your wonderful WoolWars and Survival streams, back in 2021, I don’t think I would have discovered this server and its community. I wish you nothing but the best for the future and will always remain grateful to have crossed your path.
