If you don’t know, GeyserMC is a client/proxy that allows Bedrock clients to connect to Java servers. The issue with it is, Bedrock’s physics for carpets, stairs, and I think slabs are different which might get picked up by the anti cheat.
So before I try it for myself, could it get me banned?
I don’t see a problem with it but if you do use it, use it at your own risk.
I don’t know how the anticheat will react to the bedrock physics.
In what way are they different, do you mean different in such a way it gives you an advantage or do the physics only give you another feeling within the game.
Not as an advantage, I think it’s because bedrock’s physics get picked up by a lot of anti cheats since some cheats have something similar. Hypixel detects it as hovering when walking up stairs or waking on carpets.
Then I would say the same as SantaMTC said
Would it be a good idea to try on an alt or would it get my main account banned if it does detect something.
Doesn’t Geyser have to be on the server itself in order for it to work though?
There are two ways of it working:
Plugin which is enabled on the server itself
Standalone which is what I’m running which allows you to run it like how to plugin version would run but sort of “at your own risk”
Wouldn’t you need a Java account for that tho?
Yes, of course.
Then why can’t you just install the Java version? Unless you are on phone or something.
I want to try it on my Xbox lol
Hmm, I don’t really know then. You can try it at your own risk but if you get falsebanned I’m sure u can get unbanned by appealing.
I won’t since if I do indeed get banned the person that sees it might think that I’m making up an excuse for it. Thanks for helping though
I would advise against it, the anticheat has banned players on Geyser before and some bedrock mechanics can be considered an unfair advantage on Java servers.
