zaldrex here and i’m about to rant about something that really makes me both laugh and cringe.
now listen i don’t play minecraft that much anymore but i do have some opinions based on my playtime:
A. survival is a great server. it’s literally not my type of fun at all since it’s soft and slow but it’s a great server.
B. kitpvp is a great server. it has my type of people who don’t care about toxicity and it’s competitive.
there are two major differences between these two servers.
this is the amount of updates each server receives.
i swear survival gets a new crate update like once every two months whereas since i came back in December 2020 kitpvp has gotten one SINGULAR update.
the bias is real. please, if my previous sentence is incorrect please try to convince me that you staff members actually care about kitpvp. i haven’t seen any admins on kitpvp besides igotchu in like 10 years. i quite literally only see mods that I’m friends with online and I’m friends with them because they’re online. i don’t care if you’re taking a break because breaks don’t last 2 years (referencing the last time kitpvp got updated).

tell me why oryeo is still helper as well because that’s cringe.
no i’m not mad but i’d just like an answer. i don’t play minecraft in a serious sense anymore but i do think majority of kitpvp playerbase would like answers.

Yeah I agree kit really needs new updates. I know theres quite a bit of stuff in the works, not sure how close it is to being done but hopefully it’s pretty soon or maybe a teaser or something for the public to see cause that would be pretty cool

I think it’s because every kitpvp update is extremely ambitious, especially with only one dev who’s time is not devoted solely to kit. It’s be great if we could get bug fixes, event fixes, ect. Packaged with new exciting content at a more consistent rate, although I’m aware that’s difficult due to money and personal restraints.
You’ve just reminded me this is a zaldrex post. Wrong take away from this plus only 2 admins are “real” kitpvp admins (Bears and Mike) and they have other priorities besides kit.

it’s been 2 years since a kitpvp major update. that’s all i’m saying. other “priorities” shouldn’t deter work time for 2 years to go by. when you are an admin it is quite literally your job to make sure the playerbase is happy and for the most part it is. but i think that players like me are getting bored of this season. like i want new kits and i want new maps n stuff you feel. also tf do u mean by a zaldrex post cause yeah i’m trolling u randoms 90 percent of the time but this time i am not lmfao. glad to know my posts are categorized in their own section. but hey thanks for the positive response on most of my detail and for actually reading my post. ciao

I agree, even tho KitPvP is one of the most popular game modes on Munchy, it does lack the attention. I do think that before we have any updates for Kit, we need to fix what is already broken. For example, the events that need fixing due to the bugs before coming out with an update with new kits, maps, etc. Due to the inactiveness of the admins it is overlooked. I feel that we should hold accountability to not only the admins, but the owner as well. It seems like this server is not being taken seriously anymore. A lack of care. I understand people having lives, but if we want this server to thrive, then maybe it’s better to have someone else be suited for the role as KitPvP Manager. I feel that we do get empty promises with the admins when they say something will come out but never does, it’s always “soon”.

anyways, I only somewhat agree with your thread.
Hell yeah kit needs an update - but what can you really add? The only things I can think of are kits, though there are plenty of them (this can be an issue as the more kits the more likely it would cause confusion for a new player), and maps which would be awesome to be added but they aren’t really up to the devs.
Stats, leaderboards, quests, duels, and anything else WoolWars players had to beg for for months and years to be added have already been in KitPvP a good while before I joined as an active player back in 2019.
I do agree that the game is very repetitive. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t play on KitPvP and went onto servers like Bedwars Practice which I’m sure I’d get tired of some day as well. The thing is, all of the features that could break said repetitiveness have already been added. The only thing I can think of that hasn’t yet been added is crates that give out stuff like kits and particles, however, even then it would be likely forgotten of after about a month and wouldn’t be at all useful for elites and higher.
Other than these exciting features, the only thing I can see being added is cosmetics, which don’t really fix our issue.
If you have anything cool that you think should and can realistically be added to the game then that’s awesome and I hope it gets added, but I also feel like there’s a reason as to why we don’t get a lot of updates for kit, and that’s the reason I mentioned before.
p.s. I’m a kit main, not a woolwars main - at one point during my time as a staff member I even considered asking BFI to remove my perms from ww because I was so inactive lol
I think just reworking some things would add a new freshness to what we have.
Maybe the duels arena custom duels could be reworked. Add custom kits, soups or pots on them, and maybe reworking the gui would be cool.
Duel arena isn’t as much as it used to be.
