MunchyMC’s Most Memorable Members of 2021 Hey Munchies! As every December, I present to you this year’s Munchy of the Year post. The categories this year are exactly the same as last year since we were pretty happy with those! I have had help from the entire staff team this year to ensure fair and unbiased nominations. But in the end, you guys will decide who deserves to win these awards the most! The results will be hidden until the polls close on January 1st, at which point the winners will be determined and announced. Here is a list of all previous winners.
As usual, you will find some exciting statistics about Munchy’s most active members of the year at the very bottom of this post! If you wish to, you can of course use that information to help you pick who to vote for!
To shine some more light on the community, admins have been excluded from all categories but the best staff member. Obviously, BadBoyHalo and Dream will not be included in any of the following categories.

Making a lasting impact on a community like Munchy requires a lot of effort and commitment and it takes most people many years of work to get to that point. Even more impressive is achieving the same within just a few months of joining the server. In this category, we would like to honour the people who have joined Munchy just this year and quickly managed to make a lasting impact or rose through the ranks at an unchallenged pace.

@ChipperHen has only joined our server at the start of this year and is already a very well respected member within the woolwars community. While her activity doesn’t quite compete with some of the other woolwars mains, she can still be found on the server very frequently and stands out as an exceptionally kind and friendly player.
Unfortunately, we have already had to say our goodbyes to @Heliz even though he had only properly joined our community in May of this year. Heliz was a great member of our bug and idea team and even greater at reporting cheaters on the purgatory server. With mostly just hacker reports alone, he has by far the most forum posts of anyone this year and has helped keep the servers clean of repeat offenders.
Many of you may not have heard of @LilithLuvsYa much this year. That is because she is not very active on our forums or any of our gamemodes. However, they have been incredibly active as a member and even co-host on our official event server, helping with events and builds to make community streams enjoyable for everyone. And all of that as a newling in 2021!
Our kitpvp helper @Oryeo may be the most recognizable newcomer in 2021. That is not only because he is the only newling with a pretty staff colour in-game, but also because of how active he is across the entire server. Oryeo is not only a helper, but also an event team member, a co-host on the event server, and a builder. And a good one at all of those. What an impressive first year!
With @Frostypaws ’ nomination, I would like to shout out the amazing art community of MunchyMC. Frosty (Sharkpaws) may not be outstandingly active on any of our game servers, but they are a particularly active member of our community discord server. They joined our community earlier this year and have already made an amazing impression by making beautiful art for and of other community members.

Best Community Member of 2021 As a community, Munchy is not just defined by its staff members but also by its players. The contributions you can make to the project MunchyMC are countless and come in all shapes and forms: your ideas, builds, feedback, games, community guides, etc. can all significantly improve the experience of the rest of our players. In this category, we would like to shine a light on the players who have been able to shape the server globally or in a non-gamemode-specific way.

@Ironnose has not only been one of the most active members on the forums, woolwars, kitpvp, and survival games in 2021, but also probably the most active member of our bug and idea team. Players who find, document, and report bugs to our developers are incredibly valuable to the server since they ensure that the server can run smoothly without breaking and that the gameplay isn’t ruined by the bad apples who abuse bugs for their own benefit.
Similar to Ironnose, @Kybz has been a very active contributor in our bug and idea team in 2021. Most notably, he has been a standout member when it comes to submitting ideas and bug reports for our survival server, but also occasionally for other servers. It is clear that he cares for the server and its community and his inputs are consistently valuable.
I know it is technically cheating because @Omarmu is indeed a staff member on MunchyMC. However, he is not nominated in this category for his efforts as a kitpvp or woolwars moderator, but rather because of his amazing contributions as a streamer and his community work on the MunchyMC event server. He is one of the biggest content creators on MunchyMC and his streams are as fun as they are popular.
Our senior builder @paengi has done an exceptionally amazing job this year. As a relatively new member of the Munchy community, she has been the most active builder in 2021 by far and has definitely deserved her quick promotion. For example, she has been instrumental in finishing the new survival spawn as well as producing countless gorgeous maps for nearly all gamemodes. I personally feel like builders are often underappreciated by the community despite their immense contributions to the look and feel of the server. She is also German which puts her in line with some of the most influential members in Munchy’s history *wink*.
As the creator of BWDIM, @Spectro_VI has entertained the forums community for an entire 25 episodes with their creative, fun, and refreshing series. In fact, BWDIM has even reached somewhat of a meme status on the Munchy forums which is a testament to its popularity. Until coming to a stop in October, the series went on for 6 months and averaged viewership numbers of over 100. BWDIM: MOTY special issue coming soon?

Best Staff Member of 2021 Our staff members are the backbone of our community and they are the ones making this server work. Many of them have invested countless of their hours into the server to bring you guys exciting updates and to improve the community as a whole. In this category, I would like to take a look at my fellow staff members with the most impressive accomplishments in 2021. You will find that this category, as usual, is dominated by senior staff members. This is simply a consequence of our promotion system that rewards the hard and impactful work of our staff members.

Originally a woolwars moderator, @Santamystix has also been an amazing asset to the survival server this year. He is one of our most active and friendly staff members and has been hosting and building lots of events for the survival community. Furthermore, he has been using his building skills on many exciting future survival projects that we can sadly not share with you yet. But I can assure you that the maps are as stunning as their existence is exciting. You will just have to take my word for it. Thank you for your impressive work, Alk!
2021 has been the year of the @Atterax . He’s risen the ranks up to senior moderator in less than a year of first joining the staff team and has consistently proven to be one of our most active staff members. This applies not only to the MunchyMC servers but maybe most notably to our forums which have been moderated basically by Atterax alone this year. His story might be the biggest success story of the year. Congratulations, Atterax!
Our staff manager @BFI01 doesn’t just manage a big chunk of MunchyMC, he is MunchyMC. At least he has been for the past 12 months. It’s incredible how active he has been all over the network to a point where I cannot even list all of his amazing accomplishments here. What I’d like to highlight though is that he has done exceptional work within the community and staff team. Most importantly he has always put a lot of emphasis on staff members and players alike being listened to whenever they had something to say. It’s also worth mentioning that very few staff members have been around for as long as BFI has. We are so thankful and fortunate to have you around, Beefy!
After being voted the staff member of the year 2020, @AresAnticheat is here to defend the title, even though no one really knows what has been going on with his usernames recently. And what an impressive year it has been yet again for (one of) our newest admins. As his forum profile beautifully demonstrates, he is constantly working on pretty much all corners of MunchyMC and helping out wherever he is needed, so even though he has never held an official management role, his admin promotion was certainly well-deserved and even overdue. Welcome to the cool kids’ club, Crypt!
Oh, where would we be without our beloved @Fumaz ? It’s no secret that a server like MunchyMC relies heavily on the hard work of its developers. This year, Fumaz will represent the entire development team as the (unofficial) developer of the year 2021 on our vote for the best staff member. He has worked tirelessly on most of our servers, maintaining them so everything can run smoothly, and implementing the exciting ideas of the server managers to bring new updates and content. Keep it up, Fumaz!

Best KitPvP Member of 2021 KitPvP has been at the heart of MunchyMC ever since the network was released in 2015. It has consistently remained one of our biggest game modes, even though the others have definitely caught up in recent years. Especially our oldest and most loyal members will have fond memories of this server and it is amazing to see all the active members bringing fresh ideas to the server. Let us have a look at who has shaped kitpvp in 2021.

As the player with the 4th most kills in 2021 and the 3rd most events hosted, it is no doubt that @262ms was one of the most active members of the kitpvp community this year. Considering that she has been an event team member for over 2 years now, it is impressive to see how actively she still hosts events and gives out free ranks to the community. 262ms has also finally been promoted to jmod this year, after over a year of being an amazing helper.
Despite being relatively new on the MunchyMC staff and event team, @DutchMTC stands out as one of kitpvp’s most active members. She is not only an exceptionally active kitpvp helper but also the second most active event team member of 2021. She is also an official member of the MunchyMC media team and has recently taken over the kitpvp section of the newsletter.
@Sript is undoubtedly one of our best staff members. The fact that he made the top 5 ban list despite only becoming a moderator 6 months ago clearly proves how immensely active and skilled he is as a mod. In fact, his average playtime as a staff member would have easily also made the top 5. It’s no wonder that every kitpvp player will know exactly who Sript is.
You will notice that @SizzleBurger is a kitpvp helper despite never actually having applied for any staff role. This is a very rare accomplishment and shows just how much she stands out from everyone else. She is humble, fun, and one of the most kind people you will encounter on MunchyMC. Having previously been described to me as “the community’s favourite person” by another staff member, it is clear that Sizzle deserves a spot on this list.
You will not find a single kitpvp player who has never heard of @Twinkiewinkie . Not only is she our most active moderator by far, but also one of the most recognizable members due to her successful streams. On top of being so outstandingly active, she is also always friendly to everyone and as a result the entire community loves her. Her activity reaches far beyond kitpvp as well and were the list not so crammed already, I would have loved to nominate her as the staff member of the year.

Best Prison Member of 2021 Prison map 8 has been our longest-running map so far and even though it has suffered a similar fate to the maps that came before it, it is exciting to see that it’s still relatively popular this late into the map. In this section, we would like to highlight the people who have kept prison alive and enjoyable for the past year. Surely they will have a similarly strong impact on the server next year to make map 9 even more successful!

A real OG, @DaanB has been an active and exemplary member of the MunchyMC community for many, many years now. At the beginning of this year, he has published a bot that notifies players about upcoming prison events to keep them engaged and to make sure that they don’t miss out on their favourite events. This has really transformed the way some players approach the game and has had a generally positive impact on prison.
As a prison helper @Joedaboss has been a great asset to the prison community. Prison can feel slightly overwhelming for new players and Joe has done a great job at helping out the newbies and introducing them to the server. He has also been a great help to our prison dev, Varmetek, in testing out new features and items. He has also lost the most money to the casino this map, maybe that wins him some sympathy votes.
As one of prison’s most active staff members, @thycosmos has done a great job at forwarding and tracking bug reports for Varm as well as cracking down on the many banned players trying to ruin the prison experience for everyone else. He’s trusted by both the staff and the players and has also been instrumental in testing new and experimental features for the server.

Best Survival Member of 2021 Survival is the least competitive and by far friendliest game mode on all of MunchyMC. This is definitely reflected in the community and its many amazing members. Survival has also been incredibly active in 2021, with loads of updates and amazing staff members. Hence, the following list includes many of these amazing and hard-working staff members.

The pain of @Aiadeva ’s resignation is still fresh and everyone on survival misses her oh so dearly. Despite her recent departure from the staff team, it is undeniable that Aia has been one of the most influential survival players. She has hosted build competitions and community events which are always very popular on survival and a lot of fun. As a senior moderator and also the survival newsletter editor, Aia has represented the survival community well and we all sincerely wish that she may return in the future.
As a two-times winner of the Staff member of the month award, it is no surprise that the one and only @DragonsMaker makes an appearance on this list. His community XP grinder breaks all warp totem records and he has also been incredibly influential behind the scenes, coming up with ideas for updates and helping out newer staff members. Finally, Drag has done an amazing job on the exciting Christmas update for survival that I sadly cannot share with you just yet. So if you are unsure who to vote for, wait for that update and let Drag blow your mind.
As a newcomer to the staff team in 2021, @infernalfae has quickly become an important moderator on the survival server. Her activity is outstanding and she has been incredibly active on the server itself, hosting events for the survival community and helping the newer staff members feel comfortable and confident in their new roles. She has also recently picked up the newsletter editor position for survival.
While our senior moderator @RossRao may not have been particularly active on the survival server itself this year, his work behind the scenes has been essential for what survival has become in 2021. As one of the closest consultants of Ibby_, our survival manager, Ross has shaped the past and future updates of survival like no other, even going out of his way to support the development team with prototypes and fully functional code snippets to push the server forward and speed up the update pace.
As the only non-staff member on this list, @Shoo ’s contributions to the survival community are mostly limited to the server itself. That being said, though, it is quite impressive just how influential he has managed to become on this latest season of survival. Both of his warp totems are on the top of the competition, being outperformed only by DragonsMaker’s XP grinder. His trading hall offers free trading to all of survival and his shop is the most popular one by far with its amazing assortment of items and fair prices. If you have never bought at Shoo’s before, you are hardly a real survival player.

Best WoolWars Member of 2021 After the big WoolWars update last year, 2021 has been the most successful year in the history of the game mode. WoolWars has been with us since the very beginning, but it hasn’t always been as great as it is today. Let’s take a closer look at the people that have made WoolWars so incredibly enjoyable in 2021!

To many, @beanep is probably the standout staff member of woolwars in 2021. She is genuinely incredibly kind and loved by everyone within the woolwars community. Furthermore, she has played a huge part in organizing and hosting the many events this year that have elevated woolwars to one of our most successful gamemodes in 2021. I’d also like to mention her incredibly cute community artwork .
Unlike everyone else in this list, @G3B has managed to be an influential woolwars player without being a member of the APPA clan. G3B stands out as a particularly friendly member of the community and like Solus impresses with his unfathomable activity with nearly 13,000 games played.
As the second staff member on this list, @HELIXED is definitely not here by chance. Despite being relatively new on our moderation team, it is clear that he brings all the right qualities. He is active, dedicated, mature, and helpful and the community appreciated him for that.
Considering that @SolusContinuum is the number 1 spot on every single woolwars leaderboard, it probably does not surprise anyone to see him on this list. Solus has nearly 15,000 woolwars games and won over half of them. This is not only impressive but nearly incomprehensible. Clearly, Solus doesn’t just play woolwars, he lives woolwars.
Despite recently announcing a decline in activity, @ZachDontFall has been one of the most active players woolwars has seen in 2021. As so many others on this list, Zach is a member and even an officer in the popular APPA woolwars clan. This alone is a testament to just how influential Zach has been. Even though his staff application in May was denied, it is one of the most viewed and liked post on our forums in all of 2021. Clearly, the woolwars community is standing behind Zach.
