It’s time for our 5th edition of Munchy of the Year! This has been a phenomenal year for Munchy, with the release of GameMaker, Prison Map 10R, Survival Season 5 and a bunch more! The SG community are about to hit day 1000, the WoolWars community is eagerly waiting for oChocolate’s next birthday for his WoolWars revival stream and now KitPvP has joined them… Other than that, Munchy’s community has had an awesome year. This edition of Munchy of the Year doesn’t have as many polls as last year, but we’ve put a lot more time into the polls we kept because of that. Congratulations to all nominees, vote away Munchy’s! If you’re active in the community Discord server, you’ve definitely seen @PixelXArcher around. Pixel has single handedly kept the Survival Games channel alive, preventing it from being archived. Along with being active in the Discord server, Pixel also happens to be consistently incredibly active in-game. What truly sets Pixel apart is his kindness and willingness to help others. Whether it’s by answering fellow players’ questions or offering advice to newcomers, Pixel is always there to lend a hand. His friendly and approachable nature as well as the significant role he plays in keeping the environment welcoming for everyone makes him a valued member of the community. Given his constant involvement and positive influence, Pixel is a perfect example of what it means to be a dedicated community member.
ItsSnowyAmelia
Surely you’ve heard of @ItsSnowyAmelia somewhere, anywhere, everywhere, if you’ve been around for a while! While she spends most of her time on Prison, Amelia is also incredibly active across many other gamemodes. In 2024, she earned a well deserved promotion to Guard and has made a significant impact on the server as a JMod. As one of the most active and engaged members of the community, Amelia frequently participates in events and is always present during streams, helping to keep the atmosphere lively and fun. Additionally, she’s active on Survival and GameMaker, further showing her dedication to the server. She is not only known for her in game skills, but also for her kindness toward everyone she interacts with. Her positive attitude and great sense of humor makes her a joy to be around and she consistently contributes to the community in meaningful ways. Given her dedication, support and overall contribution to making the server a better place, Amelia is a perfect nominee for Community Member of the Year.

Contributing to the monthly newsletters and helping moderate Prison and GameMaker, @NaoIsHere is a clear and deserving choice for the Community Member of the Year nomination. Nao has shown a true passion and love for the Munchy community, consistently working on the Prison section as well as organizing and contributing to the Cake Days in the monthly newsletters. His dedication to keeping the community engaged and informed is evident through his consistent efforts. This year, after being promoted to Prison JMod, Nao has further solidified his role as a key asset to the community. Through his hard work and commitment, he continues to play an essential part in the growth and success of the server. Whether it’s by moderating Prison and GameMaker or by helping keep the newsletters running smoothly, Nao’s contributions never go unnoticed and his positive influence is felt across the community. Given his continued dedication and tireless efforts, it’s clear that Nao is a perfect nominee for Community Member of the Year.

Constantly working to make the community a better place, @Mysaan has always been an incredibly important part of the Munchy community. As the leader of one of the biggest and most influential clans on the server, the Kiwi Clan, she has played a vital role in shaping the community around her. Since being appointed leader on October 31st 2022, she has hosted numerous events that bring the community together. One of the most anticipated events is Kiwimas, held every year around Christmas time, which has become a tradition beloved by many. Beyond her leadership in the Kiwi Clan, Mysan is also an active contributor to the newsletter team, where she takes the time to write the “Community Art Highlights” section each month to promote the skills of many artists in the community. Additionally, as a Survival Moderator, she helps ensure a fun and enjoyable experience for all players on the server. Given her consistent efforts to support, entertain, and inspire others, it’s clear that she is a perfect nominee for Community Member of the Year.

As our most active Media Team member, @Oracol has consistently shared their passion for the server by streaming both GameMaker and Survival on Twitch, offering a unique and engaging perspective for players to enjoy. Throughout their streams, Oracol hasn’t just showcased gameplay, but also interacted with the community, making everyone feel more connected. Their consistent presence on Twitch has helped promote the server, creating excitement and bringing in new players. Oracol’s commitment to streaming and engaging with the community makes them an amazing figure and their contributions to the server are truly appreciated. Given their dedication, enthusiasm and ongoing efforts to the server, Oracol is a perfect nominee for Community Member of the Year.

@TheFireGamer210 first joined the staff team in November last year as a Prison Recruit, but quickly worked his way up the ranks and became a Prison Sheriff by November of this year. He is our most active Forum mods, having checked the highest number of flags this year, and has also taken on the role of GameMaker Mod! In March, Fire was promoted to both Event Mod and Prison Senior BIT and has consistently gone above and beyond to support BIT whenever he can. Without question, Fire is one of our most dedicated players, and we look forward to seeing what he accomplishes in the coming year!

First becoming Prison Guard in 2023, @jessixac has continued to be an exceptional staff member and one of the most active Prison staff. In July, Jess also took on the role of GameMaker JMod, where she has remained highly active. In addition to her contributions on both Prison and GameMaker, you might also spot Jess playing quite frequently on Survival, exploring its many biomes and building themselves an empire! Jess has continuously been one of the kindest players, and is always fun to be around. She definitely deserves this nomination, and we cannot wait to see what she gets up to next year!
danior
If you have played at all, it’s incredibly difficult to have not noticed @danior. Dan first joined the staff team almost four years ago and has more than earnt a staff of the year nomination. On Survival, Dan is one of the most beloved staff members not just by the community, but also the staff team! Dan has also hosted many events on survival, such as the Survival Championship and even mapart & skin competitions. Outside of events, Dan has been incredibly helpful this year with survival updates, going out of his way to help out whenever possible. There’s not many people who do as much as Dan does for us, and we’re very lucky to have someone like him on the staff team.

@kaittt first began playing survival back in season 2, and since then has been one of the most active and most recognizable members of the community. Getting staff back in May 2021, Kait has continued to be one of Munchies most active staff members, and always goes out of their way to help out. Most importantly, this year Kait has created a bunch of tags & badges for events, rewards for the Survival Championship and has even helped oraganize a future Survival update! Kait has definitely earnt this nomination and we can’t wait to see what she gets up to next year!

@RossRao has had a big year, which is evident from the fact he recently began co-managing survival! This year, Ross has coded a majority of season 5 of Survival, which was double the size of season 4 in terms of coding. Ross has also coded the fall and winter crates, which have some of the coolest gadgets! Outside of developing Survival, Ross coded the new update for the media team! There’s no doubt that Ross will continue to create awesome stuff for us and we can’t wait to see what he gets up to next year!
Fumaz
This year, @Fumaz has single handedly coded a whole new gamemode and has continued to release exciting updates to better the experience of the community! Fumaz’s dedication to GameMaker has made it one of the most enjoyable gamemodes thanks to many bug fixes and multiple new features. Fumaz has also contributed to season 5 of Survival, coding multiple new Championship Games! Fumaz has had an enormous impact on the last year and we can’t wait to see what he gets up to in 2025!
Varmetek
After being nominated for this award last year, @Varmetek has been nominated once more due to his exceptional hard work and dedication to Prison, particularly during Map 10 and 10R. Along with the release of Map 10R, Varmetek has contributed to a total of 27 updates for Map 10 and 8 updates for Map 10r. Since becoming a Prison developer in Map 5, Varmetek has played an vital role in the ongoing development of the game. His contributions have shaped Prison into the successful gamemode it has become today and the game would not be where it is now without his dedication, expertise, and tireless work behind the scenes. Varmetek’s impact on the community and the game itself cannot be overstated, making him a perfect nominee for this award.
DarkKnights22
While we may not have seen too much of @DarkKnights22 this year, he has definitely largely contributed to Munchy with the new chat translator. This new feature has allowed players to speak their own language and make it easy for others to translate it into their language, allowing easier communication within the playerbase! It’s safe to say this has made munchy a much more welcoming community for people who do not speak english or feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language. We can’t wait to see what Dark gets up to next year!

@Dipper5731 first joined GameMaker back in April and since then has made it clear the community will be stuck with him. Dipper quickly became a prominent, well known member and one of the most knowledgeable players on GameMaker. Even before joining the Bug & Idea Team back in September, Dipper had reported dozens of bugs and suggested tons of ideas. Dipper has also made countless awesome games that have brought new ideas and innovative ways for people to create games on GameMaker. It’s evident that Dipper deserves this nomination, and we’re excited to see what he accomplishes in the upcoming year.

@Amanaemonesiaa is one of the most helpful people in the community, going out of their way to aid anyone who’s struggling. When Amana joined GameMaker back in April, she instantly became a big part of the community. She has also played a huge role in the creation of some of the best games on GameMaker, whether it’s by helping build a map or by working on its code. Amana is definitely someone you would want on your team! From Amana’s first day on GameMaker she has been reporting bugs and giving countless ideas, which has obviously led to her joining the Bug & Idea Team back in September. Amana is also a moderator in the unofficial GameMaker Community Discord and has helped out a ton with planning community projects and much more exciting stuff! It’s evident that Amana deserves this nomination and we’re sitting on the edges of our seats, excited to see what she achieves in the coming year.
Ame_Caramel
@Ame_Caramel has been on GameMaker since its very first testing session. After getting Helper in August and quickly being promoted to JMod in November, it’s clear that Ame is an awesome member of the GameMaker community. Outside of being an amazing staff member, Ame is one of the kindest and most welcoming people you can find on GameMaker, always offering her aid to those in need. Ame is also a moderator in the GameMaker Community Discord, helping out with planning community projects and much more! There’s no doubt that Ame deserves this nomination and we look forward to seeing what Ame will accomplish in the coming year.

Before the release of GameMaker, @EvilRat was selected as one of the Senior Moderators. They played a key role as one of the main testers, helping to ensure the gamemode was polished and ready for release by reporting numerous bugs and providing valuable feedback. Rat also contributed significantly by working on the GameMaker guide, a crucial resource that has helped many players who are just starting out in the gamemode, and by making numerous fun maps for the gamemode. Their in-depth knowledge of the server and the gamemode, combined with their willingness to help, makes Rat an asset to the community. Whether it’s by answering questions or providing guidance, Rat is always available to help others, making sure that everyone has a smooth experience. Given their tireless efforts and extensive contributions, Rat is easily a perfect candidate for GameMaker of the Year.

@samlou_ is one of the most popular people in the GameMaker community, having created the GameMaker Community discord back in June. This discord has brought together over 130 GameMaker players and has been a place for people to go to for aid and to meet new people in the community. The GameMaker community would not be where it is today without this discord, which also means it wouldn’t be where it is today without Samlou. In addition to creating the GameMaker Community Discord, Samlou has proven their GameMaker knowledge by creating multiple high quality games and even entering a myriad of competitions. Clearly, Samlou deserves this nomination, and we can’t wait to see what they will accomplish in the coming year.

Scrubee
If you’ve played Prison, it’s nearly impossible to be unaware of @SCRUBEE. Known for his relentless grinding, Scrubee made his return during map 10 and has since solidified his place as one of the top players. He has proven his dedication to the game by holding the record for “Most Ultras Found” on the leaderboard in map 10 and he currently remains at the top in map 10R. Beyond his gameplay, Scrubee has contributed greatly to the community by reporting bugs and forming friendships with most players. His impact on the game is undeniable, and there’s no doubt that Scrubee truly deserves this nomination.

Since map 7, @bhi has been an active and dedicated member of the Prison community for years, consistently showing his commitment to the game. At the beginning of map 10, he and his team rose to the top of Prison with their innovative strategies and money-making methods. During map 10R, he and his team had complete domination over the map, owning nearly every item you could think of. Constantly coming up with new PvP strategies and item combinations, bhi always finds a way to make the most out of any item’s abilities. bhi also always has suggestions for new items or ideas on how to make the old ones better, making his contributions always extremely valuable to the community.

Meet our beloved Brazilian, @enviosy, who joined in map 9 and has been present in our community ever since, winning the title of number one ranked fisher in map 10. Her strategies, teamwork, and resilience with other players have allowed her team to venture through both map 10 and map 10R efficiently. Her active contributions have shined in the Bug and Idea Team since joining. Her friendly and welcoming nature with other players on prison is certainly something to appreciate, especially considering the server’s rather competitive nature. With her vibrant personality, and her willingness to help other players, she always manages to bring a smile to everyone, hence why she’s a perfect nominee for this category.
Neonmuffin_
The newest Prison Recruit, @Neonmuffin, is certainly a cherished member of the community for her indisputable dedication to the gamemode. Neonmuffin_ first made her presence known when joining in May 2022 and has been wandering around Prison ever since. Starting off as an innovative and greatly active Bug and Idea Team Member, Neonmuffin_’s bright and heartwarming personality, as well as her welcoming attitude towards everyone she meets, simply can’t go unnoticed. Now that she’s quite recently been promoted to Helper, there’s absolutely no doubt in anyone’s mind as to how increasingly impactful her presence will remain in the future.
Tuxmux
If you have been around this map, you would have seen our fellow Canadian, @Tuxmux. Tux started back in Map 9, and has worked his way to the spotlight in Map 10, crowning both number one Ranktop and Farmtop. His cooperativeness within his gang and the wider prison community have made him a notable player. Profitable strategies in areas, more so in farming and mining, allowed his team to play the map efficiently. His influence has defined what is meta, allowing players to look up to him with reliability. His recent debut in the Bug & Idea team allowed him to contribute in-depth ideas, where the theme of innovation would benefit the server as a whole. We are certainly impressed with his presence as a prison player, and continue to look forward to what he will do in Map 11.

While some would consider @QueenBee707 to be a new player, having joined only four months into Survival’s season 4, she has quickly become one of the best staff members and is an exceptional and incredibly kind community member. Queen began this year as a Helper after her promotion in January, and since then has become our most active staff member with over 2,500 hours played since. She then righteously became JMod in October and most recently hosted the Advent event with Cinderace! Queen has definitely earned this nomination and we are sure she’ll continue being as impactful next year!

When thinking about map art, there’s a few names that come to mind and @SUPERDUCK3534 is definitely one of them. Joining survival four months into season 4, Superduck quickly became one of the most active and most helpful members of the community, always offering players help with their map arts. Superduck is incredibly productive when it comes to map art, having created his very first of season 5 only a few days after its release! It’s obvious to us all that Superduck cares a lot about the community and has definitely earned this nomination. We can’t wait to see what they get up to next year!

@_Cinderace may be a bit sneaky and not the most active chatter, but they have been around since season 1, quietly hiding in the back. Throughout their time on survival, Cinder has hosted countless fun events, most recently hosting the Advent event with QueenBee707! Cinder definitely stands out from the rest of the Survival community, is one of the kindest people and worth getting to know. It’s clear Cinder has earned this nomination and we can’t wait to see what they get up to next year!

@Sopodier, also known as Spider, has been one of the most active players this season, getting high up on the Claims leaderboard. Other than being active, Spider has managed to create an extremely profitable warp totem which is also one of the most popular! Spider has also contributed to the community in many other ways, such as being part of the yearly Kiwimas event with the GIMBR & Kiwi Clan. Throughout Spider’s time on Survival they have consistently been one of the kindest people, going out of their way to help people out when needed. Spider has more than earned this nomination and will undoubtedly do even greater things next year.

@Moumik first joined Survival back in season 2 and quickly became a part of the community. Joining the Bug & Idea Team back in June 2023 and soon after becoming a Survival Helper, then JMod in October, Moumik has been working their way up the ranks and we wouldn’t want it any other way. In Moumik’s time on Survival, she has been one of the most hardworking and kind people you could find. It’s safe to say Moumik has earned this nomination, and we can’t wait to see what she gets up to next year!
