Application
IGN:
NickMelon
Age:
14
Timezone:

Can you use a microphone for an interview?:
Yes.
Role you are interested in (Helper or JMod):
Helper. The reason why I’m interested in this helper over JMod is because I don’t want to jump in. I want to take it slow and learn since I’ve never moderated a community before.
Server you are interested in moderating (pick ONE):
Kitpvp. I am most active there.
How active can you be per week?
Since I do online school, i can be more active. Here are the hours I’m not available:
Monday: 8 am - 2 pm
Tuesday: 8 am - 2 pm
Wednesday: 8 am - 2 pm
Thursday: 9 am - 2 pm
Friday: completely free
Saturday: completely free
Sunday: completely free
Do you have any punishments on our network? If so, please describe your side of story:
I have 2 mutes and 1 false ban. I have been muted for toxicity and spamming. Now that I look back, I was acting very childish when I was being toxic and spamming. For the false ban, I was glitching in a block and Ares banned me. I got unbanned shortly later by Atterax. (The anticheat most likely thought I was flying when I was glitching in the block) I believe that I’m 100% responsible for my mutes.
Have you applied for this role before? If so, please explain the steps you have taken to improve as an applicant since your last application:
I have applied once before. When I last applied, I wasn’t really motivated to play Minecraft and i figured: “If I get accepted, I’ll play more” but back then, I wasn’t NEARLY as active nor familiar with the different cheats. But after a much needed break, I’m very motivated to help the community and make the server a better place. I started to pay more attention to players that I suspect are hacking. Whether it be head twitches, unusual movement, or extra reach.
What do you think your reputation is like within the community?
I think my reputation is fairly good. I try and interact with the community as much as possible. Whether it be welcoming someone back or participating in events. Although I find it hard to interact due to the toxicity of the server. I always try and be friendly to everyone I meet here. I also try and say “gg” after an event. Being friendly here is one of my top priorities to make the server a happier place and not a toxic mess.
Why are you interested in the role and what motivated you to apply?
I’m interested in the role because I want to help make the community a better place for every player. I was motivated to apply because I saw someone spamming and no other staff were on to mute them. Since I am very active, I could’ve muted them. I also see tons of toxicity in the chat. Which makes it hard to interact with the community. I’m sure not a single soul wants toxicity on this server.
Out of 10 (with 10 being very knowledgeable), how would you rate your knowledge on moderating a community?
I’d say about a 5. I know the basic commands, but have never moderated a community before. The reason I give it a 5 is because I stream on twitch and I have a (very small) community. I’ve also moderated a small community on the popular server hosting server “Minehut” that had about 3-5 people on at once. It was also public so new people were joining but it never went above 10
Out of 10 (with 10 being very knowledgeable), what would you rate your knowledge on Minecraft hacks and cheats, including finding and identifying cheaters?
I’d say about a 7. Since I have been playing for over 3 years and have extensive knowledge of all the kits, here’s some I know: (Also I used to play Hypixel tons and ran into lots of bhoppers and flyers there.)
List of some of the hacks I can detect
Reach: Allows the user to reach a longer distance than the normal Minecraft reach (Which is 3 blocks)
Velocity: Most commonly used in sumo, this allows the user to modify their knockback take little to no knockback at all.
Tracers: Trace allows the user to see the hitbox of another player. Not to be confused with the hitbox mod, tracers allows the user to track the person through walls.
Flight: Not to be confused with the falcon kit, this hack is pretty self explanatory. It allows the user to fly.
Forcefield: Allows the user to have an invisible forcefield around themselves to not get hit.
Auto clicker: by far the most hard to detect, it allows the user to not have to click at all and the cheat
does it for them.
Bunnyhop: This one is pretty obvious. It essentially gives the player a huge jump boost.
Please link us to any hacker reports you have made (recorded and/or reported) on MunchyMC:
I have not reported any hackers but I am 100% willing to.
