People who quit munchy, why?

What’s good y’all, I ain’t gonna make this a flashy forum post or some really colored, detailed, formatted one where I stress over how it look and work too hard on minor things. I been doing a lot of thinking about the server and I thought of making another question post cause it’s been a while and I got one but it’s only for players who quit the server already, by quit I don’t mean stopped playing the server entirely but I mean you feel done with the server and you log in twice a month or less for less then 6 hours total. So anyways:

People who have quit munchy, why did you quit?

i grew up

and i do literally mean exactly that. i became active on the server at 13-14. i’m 18 now. that era were iw as most active was an ultimately negative and hollow point in my life, but the community(some of which are truly good friends of mine now that i still talk to) and repetitiveness of grinding games became soothing routine. truthfully i do still think of those times on the server as genuinely fun, but it’s died out and won’t be back. and that’s okay.

i left after a lot of friends left. and also got (and still am) extremely busy with school commitments.

Although if season 5 survival sees more active players there is a chance I will dedicate more free time to playing on the server

Ppl quit because some ppl grew up and the server is just dead asf cause the owners that are famous don’t put any work into advertising their own server

  • People mostly quit because munchy isn’t as popular as it’s used to be. It’s pretty clear that playing on a server with very few players on specific gamemodes sucks, and I’m not even taking into account the dead ones…

  • Also, people move on in life. Studies, work, life sadly isn’t all about gaming and it’s important to dedicate time to things that will actually serve a purpose in our future.

Some other might have some specific reasons, for instance most of their friends left etc, but I believe these two are the most common reasons?

Well I know some of the basic reasons and I figured those two were the most common + another which is new servers and games but anyways I was just curious of the reasons people had

the server itself kind of died, especially kit. I stopped playing mc as a whole for a while, and tbh the server wasn’t the same when I came back.

Hot take but I think it’s because the server is so toxic. I liked it when I was a teenager but now it’s just sad noticing how so many kind players become so toxic just because of the 2 game modes Kitpvp and prison. It really can’t be helped because of the way the games are designed. You can’t avoid it when the main objective is pvp. I do think prison is going in the right direction with things like no-pvp looting zones being added and stuff but at the end of the day helixed is right. People are growing up and server is pretty much a hub for toxic people….im still going to play map 11 though

Been a part of the Munchy community for a long time. I joined years ago and I absolutely fell in love with the people and community. I made some amazing friends and the servers were a blast to play, specifically prison and kitpvp. I enjoyed playing for hours on end, but the server(s) just completely fell off. Saddens me to say, but I have started playing others servers that actually update their servers on a daily basis and listen to their community and player base. The toxicity on prison has gotten very bad within the last year or so and made it unenjoyable to play. Kitpvp was also a huge server that brought in a LOT of players and I am lucky if I log on today and see 1 or 2 players online. Events are rarely done anymore which is a shame because that brought in a lot of players. No consistent updates, do not listen to players and community, staff are barely ever on and when they are often times they are afk, no interaction with the community whatsoever and that turns off a lot of players, including myself. On top of that, some of the staff just should not be staff lol. Munchy itself needs better advertising. BBH being a youtuber is great and I love his videos but it is not enough. The players who are Media - imo I think they need higher viewer counts… clearly not bringing in enough players. When map updates were released maps ago, it was like THE big announcement and practically blew up the Forums; brought in more players and brought back old players which encouraged the regulars to play again. In my opinion, I think the Forums need to be reworked and redesigned. The servers need dramatic updates that are more relevant to today’s standards. I think the discord could also be worked on a bit as well; nothing about it stands out. To be very clear, IN NO WAY am I bashing Munchy. I love this community… I am stating my observations which I feel are important to the topic at hand. Just seems like the staff do not care anymore.

Unfortunately KitPvP has little to no active players anymore. At one point the only remaining players were just cheating alts, because holding left mouse button is todays standard…
