Alright, let’s begin!
I absolutely love playing the wizard kit, but I’ve noticed a lot of issues with how it was created.
For the rest of this post, I will be referring to the act of using the wizard kit’s teleport as “blinking” as I believe it’s a good term for it and I also play a lot of Overwatch.
Problems with the kit
1. Blinking through plants (tall grass, mushrooms, etc) does not work!
If you attempt to blink through a “passable” block you will get stuck and your screen will reset to facing south.
2. Blinking in water does not work
If you try to blink in water it doesn’t work, this is because water is being counted as a solid block when in reality I believe it should not be considered solid.
3. Blinking up slopes does not work
This one might be harder to justify as a bug however when attempting to navigate sloped terrain the kit will refuse to blink up the slope.
I decided to fix these issues
I created a video showcasing my fix of the kit. In the video you can see all the issues I stated above have been fixed, it is also not possible to get stuck in vanilla terrain let alone a simple munchymc kitpvp map.

Please feel free to use and iterate on the source code provided and if the MunchyMC development team is reading this please use this code to improve this kit! Also, the open-sourced version has been written in 1.19 however many of the methods exist in the 1.8.9 Bukkit API and it should be relatively simple to use in 1.8.9. If a 1.8.9 version is needed I would be happy to create one for the server for free. You can also watch me create the plugin live and learn about my thought process here.
